When I am healed, I am not healed alone.
Sickness becomes a door that closes on a separate self
And keeps it isolated and alone.
But healing is his own decision to be One again,
And to accept his Self with all Its parts intact and unassailed.

That sickness may be banished from the mind of God's One Son,
Who is my only Self.

For I would be healed with them, as they are healed with me.

Let me not wander from the way of peace,
For I am lost on other roads than this.

Who is my brother but your holy Son?
And if I see him sinful, I proclaim myself a sinner,
Not a Son of God;
Alone and friendless in a fearful world.
Yet this perception is a choice I make and can relinquish.

I can also see my brother sinless, as Your holy Son.
And with this choice I see my sinlessness,
My everlasting Comforter and Friend beside me,
And my way secure and clear.

Choose, then, for me, my Father, through your Voice,
For He alone gives judgment in Your Name.

I do not understand anything I see in this room,

Father . . . forgiveness is Your chosen means for our salvation.
Let us not forget today that we can have no will but Yours,
And thus our purpose must be Yours as well,
If we would reach the peace You will for us.

Let miracles replace all grievances, all grievances.
Each decision that you make is one between
a grievance and a miracle.
Today we go beyond the grievances
to look upon the miracle instead.
 
We will reverse the way you see
by not allowing sight to stop before it sees.
We will not wait before the shield of hate,
but lay it down.
And gently lift our eyes in silence
to behold the son of God.
 
He waits for you behind your grievances,
and as you lay them down,
He will appear in shining light.

This holy instant would I give to You.
Be You in charge. For I would follow You,
Certain that Your direction gives me peace.

And if I need a word to help me, He will give it to me.
If I need a thought, that will He also give.
And if I need but stillness and a tranquil, open mind,
These are the gifts I will receive of Him.

He is in charge by my request.

Because He speaks for God my Father and His holy Son.
